The globally inspired collaboration reflects the young designer’s vision of modern nomadic lifestyles.

Theodore Alexander is once again collaborating with a talented designer to bring a new collection to market this season. Set for a soft launch at the Guangzhou Furniture Fair next month, the Xander Noori for Theodore Alexander collection is scheduled for its North American debut at the High Point Market come April.

According to Gregory Heller, Chief Creative Officer of Theodore Alexander, the newest designer collaboration— a 30-piece collection encompassing bedroom, dining, occasional and upholstered furniture — underscores the brand’s evolution as a global lifestyle resource and its ever-evolving aesthetic.

“Xander Noori is a talented young designer inspired by the glamour and mystique of modern nomadic lifestyles,” Heller relates. “His distinctive aesthetic and youthful perspective is expanding Theodore Alexander’s cadre of designer offerings with an exciting new attitude informed by a rich global heritage.”

Known for clean, sinuous lines, graceful silhouettes and a penchant for mixing rugged matte textures and aged surfaces with polished metals and lacquers, Noori describes his new collection as “bold, fresh and easy to use.” Aspirational, yet relatable, the pieces were created to stand on their own or pair well with vintage furnishings and antiques, as well as contemporary looks.

“In designing this collection, my goal was to capitalize on Theodore Alexander’s capability with fine craftsmanship and exquisite finishes, while focusing on achieving appropriate balance, proportion, comfort and functionality,” the designer says.

Rich with distinctive design elements, unique wood, lacquer and metal finishes range from ultra-white plaster tones inspired by historic frescoes, to a Rosewater-tinted accent and an Azure polish reminiscent of the Mediterranean Sea. Indeed, says Heller, “Noori finds inspiration in the traditions that live and thrive along the Silk Road networks and ancient civilizations from the Mediterranean to Southeast Asia. Looking to the past to see what has come before he has created a lifestyle vision right for today.”
